Q: How is RelativeTSR updated?
A: Most of our update process is automatic and occurs nightly. First, the stock prices for the company and its peers are loaded to our data base. TSR is then calculated for your Company and all peers. The rankings are determined, and the new expected percentage of target awards to vest is determined. Any inconsistencies discovered during this process are our first priority and they are resolved during the next business day. The website is then updated at 9 a.m.

Q: Part of my award vests based upon an internal metric. Does RelativeTSR track this as well?
A: We do not track internal metrics. We can, however, make arrangements with our clients to receive periodic updates of the progress of your internal metrics and relay them via our website.

Q: Who is responsible for maintaining RelativeTSR?
A: The list of individuals and their responsibilities include:

  • Terry Adamson (Vice President) is responsible for website content and development
  • Jacob Peters (Analyst) is responsible for website content and development
  • Paul Goings (Programmer) is responsible for initial set-up and ongoing programming

Together, the group has over 28 years of compensation consulting and programming experience.

Q: What happens when a member of our peer group is no longer publicly traded?
A: The Company is removed from the peer group and, most commonly, the relative TSR is compared with the remaining peer group. Some plans dictate that a substitute be chosen to replace the company and the TSR of the substitute is used instead.

Q: How will dividend payments be handled?
A: Dividend payments made during the vesting period are generally credited to the employee on the date of vesting. Most plans dictate that the dividend reimbursement will be based upon the target number of awards and will not be increased if additional shares vest.

A: Access to each Company grant is restricted to the individuals receiving the grant and internal Company staff for finance and HR purposes, on a need to know basis.

Q: Is any of my personal information stored on RelativeTSR?
A: No, the website operates on a percentage of target awards to vest. We do not maintain a database of target awards.

Q: How can I access RelativeTSR?
A: Access for approved individuals is obtained via a secure link on the Company's intranet. If you need to have access to the site via another internet connection, please contact your administrator.
