Donald B. York
Senior Vice President
Don York has had overall management responsibility for the Radford Surveys unit of Aon since 1990. Don has led the efforts for designing many of the Radford Surveys, including the Radford Global Technology and Global Sales Surveys as well as the original Executive Survey. Don also has more than 30 years of executive compensation consulting experience. His clients have included Applied Materials, Cadence Design Systems, Oracle, Read-Rite, Synopsys, and Western Digital.
Prior to joining Radford Associates in 1978, Don practiced law with the firm of Adams, Duque & Hazeltine.
Don graduated phi beta kappa, summa cum laude, from the University of California, Los Angeles, and earned a juris doctorate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, Law School.
John Radford
Senior Vice President
John Radford co-founded Radford Associates in 1975 and led the firm to a premier market position as the top compensation survey provider for the technology industries. After nearly 20 years at Radford, he accepted the top compensation position at Cisco Systems where, over the next eight years, he implemented some of the most recognized and leading compensation and HR-related programs in the field.
John rejoined Radford in 2002 as a senior vice president. His primary responsibilities include the overall management of the Global Life Sciences Survey and the management of the company's Strategic Steering Committees. He also is a regular speaker on a wide variety of compensation topics.
John earned a bachelor of science degree in economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a master of business administration from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Steve Radford
Senior Vice President
Steve Radford co-founded Radford Associates in 1975. He has overall responsibility for the Global Relationship Management Program, whose objective is to provide the highest level of service possible to Radford's strategic global technology clients.
He has led the marketing and sales function of Radford, including the development and design of automated survey, compensation and benefits applications, using the most current technology to provide leading-edge services to clients. In 1995, under his direction, the Radford Network® was introduced as the first Internet-based survey web site. With 8,000 registered users, the Network is now Radford's primary delivery mode for survey data, tools and resources.
Steve has more than 30 years of experience in compensation consulting and the design and implementation of compensation and benefits surveys. He earned a bachelor of science degree in economics from University of California, Santa Barbara and a master of business administration from University of California, Los Angeles.
Robert Miller
Regional Head of Europe
Robert Miller has more than 15 years of executive, sales and broad-based compensation experience. As Regional Head of Europe, Robert holds overall responsibility for Radford's consulting and survey businesses in the region, as well as for client project leadership.
Prior to joining Radford, Robert was a Senior Consultant at Hewitt Associates, where he focused primarily on executive compensation and rewards, serving FTSE 250 and regional clients, including Roche, Hunting plc, LEGO, British Plasterboard and Danisco. He was also responsible for Hewitt's European data strategy, and he held the post of European lead for Hewitt's Salesforce Effectiveness Practice, working with clients such as Invensys, CIT, British Telecom, COLT Telecom, C&W and Al-Futtaim.
Before joining Hewitt, Robert was a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young, where he led executive compensation client engagements, and developed a telecommunications sales incentive practice targeting FTSE 100 clients. Prior to that, he was a Consultant at Towers Perrin.
Robert received his Bachelor or Science (with honors) from Newcastle University, and a Masters of Commerce from the University of New South Wales. He has also completed the London Business School's Corporate Finance Programme. Robert speaks frequently on topics from executive compensation to broad-based rewards and sales incentive scheme design.
Nicole Milne Baer
Vice President
Nicole Milne Baer oversees survey sales for Radford as well as marketing for all business lines. As the sales team leader, her responsibilities include ensuring market and category leadership; market share growth and preservation across all product lines; sales revenue forecasting and plans; revenue generation strategies, including new business development and growth of existing revenue streams; sales force management; distribution channels; sales effectiveness; competitive positioning; customer satisfaction; and industry and Aon partnerships.
As the marketing leader, Nicole is responsible for setting marketing objectives and strategy, market positioning and messaging, pricing, branding activities and brand management, product/service line launches, the Radford Network and Radford.com websites, and marketing database management. She additionally oversees direct marketing, competitive analysis, market research, marketing/corporate communications, events and co-marketing opportunities with Aon.
Before joining Radford, Nicole held a range of account management positions for a high technology public relations firm in Los Angeles. She started her career in technology working in marketing at a hardware manufacturer in Silicon Valley and has nearly 15 years of experience in the technology and life sciences industries.
Nicole earned a bachelor of arts degree in English with honors from University of California, Santa Barbara and a master of business administration degree from University of California, Berkeley - Haas School of Business.
Tim Brown
Vice President
Tim Brown has more than 20 years of experience in compensation analysis and program administration. In his current role, Tim oversees the Radford Global Technology Survey, covering cash and long-term incentive programs for 100 countries. Additionally, Tim focuses on expanding survey participation, survey data integrity and responsive customer service.
Prior to Radford, Tim held various compensation roles with semiconductor, life sciences, and telecommunications firms.
Tim earned a bachelor of science degree in finance from Santa Clara University and a master of business administration from Pepperdine University. He speaks on compensation issues regularly and has been a contributor to such publications as Workspan. Tim also teaches a course on compensation and rewards as part of the undergraduate human resources degree curriculum at San Jose State University.
Edson Fong
Vice President
Edson W. Fong has more than 20 years of experience at Radford, during which he has managed both the operations and IT groups. Ed has played a key role in the migration from paper-based to web-based surveys. He is responsible for all survey input and output production and manages day-to-day programming.
Under his direction, Radford has implemented web-based client tools, contact management systems, online order processes, and programming of all electronic survey reports.
Ed earned a bachelor of science degree in industrial relations from San Francisco State University.
Guy Pritchard
Vice President, EMEA
Guy Pritchard has 10 years of compensation consulting experience, including experience in the design of equity schemes, and other executive and senior management remuneration strategies. As Vice President at Radford, Guy has responsibility for leading client engagements with companies through the European region.
Prior to joining Radford, Guy was a Senior Consultant within Hewitt's UK Executive Compensation Practice, where he worked with management and remuneration committees on a broad array of executive compensation issues. His clients included both small private and large public organizations.
Before joining Hewitt, Guy was a manager in Deloitte's Executive Compensation Practice, where he focused on executive and senior management remuneration reviews and incentive scheme design for a number of UK-listed companies.
Guy received his Bachelor of Engineering degree (with honors) in Civil Engineering from the University of Warwick. He is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT).
Barbara Chevial
Assistant Vice President
Barbara Chevial manages the global sales team and telemarketing function for all Radford surveys. She has more than 25 years of experience in human resources, finance and contract administration in the high technology industry.
Barbara joined Radford in 1998 as a senior sales account manager. In that role, she was primarily responsible for strategic account management and direct survey sales. She spearheaded initial participation efforts for the launch of the Radford Canada Survey (now part of Radford's global surveys), the first of Radford's suite of international surveys. She was responsible for the business development, sales and account management to the Canadian high technology industry.
Barbara earned a bachelor of arts degree in management from Saint Mary's College of California.
Olivier Maudiere
Assistant Vice President
Olivier Maudiere is a Global Relationship Manager with responsibility for providing the highest level of service to Radford's strategic technology clients. In this position, Olivier is tasked with expanding survey participation, improving the survey experience, and acting as the liaison between clients and the Radford team. Prior to this new responsibility, Olivier successfully managed the Global Technology Survey, introducing Radford's newest survey to major multinational corporations worldwide and establishing Radford as the new industry standard in global remuneration benchmarking.
Olivier has more than 16 years of global business and human resources experience. His experience prior to joining Radford in 2004 included consulting positions with Bowker Consulting, Mercer, as well as corporate positions with Siebel Systems, Walt Disney Company, and Nordson Corporation. Olivier advised multinational companies on the design and implementation of worldwide compensation and benefits strategies.
Fluent in French and German, Olivier has lived in France, Germany and Japan. He earned masters of business administration degrees from both Baldwin Wallace College in Ohio and Ecole Superieure de Commerce International in France.
Tina Murata
Assistant Vice President
Tina Murata currently manages both the Radford US Benefits and Global Sales Surveys. She has more than 12 years of survey management experience for Radford, including managing the design, data collection, and analysis of data. Since managing the Global Sales Survey, Tina has focused her efforts on expanding survey participation and developing job matching programs to ensure data integrity.
Past projects include playing a part in the major redesign of Radford's salary survey computer system and processes.
Tina earned a bachelor of arts degree in behavioral science from San Jose State University.
Jeanette Velo
Assistant Vice President
Jeanette Velo has been with Radford for more than 25 years. She is currently responsible for managing the production of Radford's global surveys. Her primary responsibilities include survey design, quality assurance, technical assistance, and final survey production for all surveys. She also provides support in numerous areas of the Radford Network.
Past projects include the major redesign of Radford's salary survey computer system and processes. Jeanette was one of the team leaders in the creation, structure, and development of the original Radford Biotechnology Survey (now the Global Life Sciences Survey) and performed similar duties for the Radford Benchmark and Executive Surveys (now the Global Technology Survey).
Heidi Warrick
Assistant Vice President
Heidi Warrick manages the administration of the marketing and sales department. She has more than 25 years of human resources experience, including more than 15 years of Radford management experience. She joined Radford in 1978 as a manager for the Radford Benchmark Survey and compensation consultant on client job evaluation and salary structure projects.
In addition to managing the marketing and sales department, Heidi is responsible for the annual renewal program, survey input and invoice collections, order processing, customer service, the Radford Network access program, and client and marketing databases. Past responsibilities included managing the Benchmark Survey, compensation consulting, and survey sales.
Heidi earned a bachelor of science degree in human resources management from San Jose State University.
Pang-Chen (Tony) Wang
Regional Manager, Greater China
Tony Wang has more than 12 years of compensation and human resources experience, with a background in both consulting and internal HR roles. As Regional Manager, focusing primarily in Greater China, Tony is responsible for providing compensation consulting and other support to organizations in the region.
Prior to joining Radford, Tony was Assistant Vice President of Compensation & Benefits at Nan Shan Life Insurance Company (a unit of AIG), where he had responsibility for compensation and benefits strategy design. Prior to Nan Shan Life, Tony was a Managing Consultant for IBM's Human Capital Management, Global Business Services Group. As a consultant, he worked with clients to create effective workforces and world-class HR processes that aligned HR and business strategy.
Before joining IBM, Tony was a Country Head in the Human Resources department of DHL, where, as a member of the leadership team, he was responsible for HR planning, policy development, training/development, organizational development and recruitment. He was also previously a Senior Consultant in Watson Wyatt's Taiwan office.
Tony earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Soochow University, and his Master of Business Administration degree from George Washington University. He is a certified Industrial Labor Safety and Health Administrator (ROC), and Professional in Human Resources (US). He also teaches courses for the Association of Industrial Relations (ROC) on total rewards philosophy and salary planning.
Gina Wellmaker
Assistant Vice President
Gina Wellmaker currently manages the newly-revamped Radford Global Life Sciences Survey, which she has helped grow to include more than 600 companies and 700 industry-specific jobs during the last ten years. In addition to preserving Radford's reputation as a leader in the life sciences industry, Gina's primary responsibilities include partnering with key global accounts to expand and continue to develop the Global Life Sciences Survey (formerly the Biotechnology Survey) and acting as liaison between global pharma and life sciences companies, and the Radford surveys team.
For nine years prior to joining Radford, Gina specialized in job evaluation, salary plan implementation, and compensation analysis for life sciences companies utilizing market analysis and conducting custom surveys.
Gina attended California State University, Chico, studying business administration with a concentration in personnel and industrial relations.
