Linda E. Amuso

President

Linda E. Amuso is a highly recognized thought-leader and an expert in the field of executive and employee compensation design for the technology and life sciences industries. For 20 years, Linda has worked directly with senior management and Board of Directors on developing and implementing executive and equity compensation strategies, effectively linking performance management strategies to salary systems, and designing annual/long-term incentive plans. Since joining Radford in 2005, Linda has been instrumental in building Radford's consulting practice and expanding Radford's services globally.

In 1993, Linda co-founded iQuantic, Inc. (acquired by Buck Consultants in 2001), and was a key contributor in building the organization into a national compensation consulting business. She also led the expansion of iQuantic's business into the life sciences industry, offering consulting and survey support. At Buck Consultants, Linda held a number of leadership positions including Western Region Compensation Practice Leader, National Leader for the Biotechnology Sector and Northern California Market Leader.

Linda earned a bachelor of science from Ithaca College and a master of arts in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University. She speaks on compensation and corporate governance issues frequently, and has been quoted in national business press, including the Wall Street Journal. Linda is based in San Francisco.

Terry Adamson

Senior Vice President

Terry Adamson is a senior vice president at Radford with more than 17 years of consulting experience. As National Practice Leader for Aon's employee equity consulting practice, Terry is involved with all phases of equity compensation, including the valuation and accounting for stock options, performance equity, and ESPP programs under ASC Topic 718. Terry has worked extensively in the design of longterm incentive programs, the valuation of compensatory arrangements during a change in control under IRC 280G, and sabbatical valuations under Topic 710.

He has recently co-authored articles in the Tax Management Compensation Planning Journal entitled "Golden Parachutes - New Planning Opportunities" and "Executive Compensation Audits - Planning Now to Avoid Trouble Later"; Benefits Quarterly entitled "Employee Stock Options - New Valuation Responsibilities and Planning Opportunities"; WorldatWork Journal entitled "Performance Equity Plans: The Design and Valuation Under FAS123(R)"; The Journal of Employee Ownership Law and Finance entitled "A Technical Roadmap to Expense Allocation Under FAS123(R)"; and Compensation and Benefits Review entitled "No Vacation on Sabbatical Plan Accounting".

Terry is a frequent speaker about equity valuation at various conferences, seminars, and webcasts, most recently with the CPE, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Conference Board, the NASPP Conference, E-Trade's Directions2010, and with the Joint Board of Enrolled Actuaries. Terry was on the FASB Round Table on Employee Share Options, and is the Chairman of the Society of Actuaries taskforce on stock option valuation. He is also a Certified Equity Professional (CEP) and serves on the CEP Curriculum Committee. In 2010, Terry received the 2010 Individual Achievement award by the NASPP.

Prior to joining Aon, Terry was employed as an actuary at The Hay Group in New York City. Terry graduated from Georgetown University where he obtained a bachelor of science degree in mathematics.


Ted Buyniski

Senior Vice President

Ted Buyniski has nearly 30 years of tax, legal and human resources experience. He is a leading practitioner in the areas of executive compensation, equity and corporate governance. For more than a decade, his practice has focused on serving domestic and global clients in the high technology and life science communities, particularly software, semiconductor, and medical device companies.

Prior to joining Radford, Ted led the high technology compensation practice for Mellon Human Resources and Investor Solutions; managed the East Coast practice of iQuantic; oversaw the compensation function for AlliedSignal (now Honeywell); and practiced law as a tax attorney.

Ted earned a bachelor of science in foreign service from Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and a juris doctorate from Boston University School of Law. In addition to being a member of the Massachusetts Bar, he is a certified employee benefits specialist, and served on the FASB's Equity Expensing Roundtable. Ted regularly contributes to industry and business publications and is a frequent speaker on compensation topics. He is based in Boston.

Robert Miller

Principal - Regional Head EMEA

Robert Miller has more than 15 years of executive, sales and broad-based compensation experience. As Regional Head EMEA, Robert holds overall responsibility for Radford's consulting and survey businesses in the region, as well as for client project leadership.

Prior to joining Radford, Robert was a Senior Consultant at Hewitt Associates, where he focused primarily on executive compensation and rewards, serving FTSE 250 and regional clients, including Roche, Hunting plc, LEGO, British Plasterboard and Danisco. He was also responsible for Hewitt's European data strategy, and he held the post of European lead for Hewitt's Salesforce Effectiveness Practice, working with clients such as Invensys, CIT, British Telecom, COLT Telecom, C&W and Al-Futtaim.

Before joining Hewitt, Robert was a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young, where he led executive compensation client engagements, and developed a telecommunications sales incentive practice targeting FTSE 100 clients. Prior to that, he was a Consultant at Towers Perrin.

Robert received his Bachelor or Science (with honors) from Newcastle University, and a Masters of Commerce from the University of New South Wales. He has also completed the London Business School's Corporate Finance Programme. Robert speaks frequently on topics from executive compensation to broad-based rewards and sales incentive scheme design.


Edward J. Speidel

Senior Vice President

Edward J. Speidel has nearly 20 years of experience in executive and equity compensation, corporate governance and employee benefits consulting. His clientele consists of companies of varying size and complexity, in a wide array of industries. He maintains a strong focus on the high technology communities, with emphasis in e-commerce, semiconductors, software, and life sciences firms.

Prior to joining Radford, Ed was principal and national executive compensation practice leader for Mellon Human Resources & Investor Solutions (formerly Buck Consultants). Before Mellon, Ed was managing director of the Northeast compensation practice for PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Ed earned a bachelor of arts in economics/government from University of Delaware, a master of business administration from Lehigh University, a juris doctorate from New England Law, and a master of laws in taxation from Boston University School of Law. In addition, he is a certified compensation; benefits; and equity professional, respectively. Ed writes and speaks frequently on executive and equity compensation issues. He is based in Boston.

Marie Brinkman

Vice President

Marie Brinkman has worked with technology and life sciences companies to develop compensation and benefit programs for more than 20 years. Her current assignments include global compensation consulting and the role of global relationship manager for key clients. Marie has extensive experience in the development of global compensation philosophies and strategies, market analyses of US and international pay levels and practices, global job leveling and base pay structures and design of global incentive plans.

Prior to Radford, Marie held compensation consulting positions with Right Management and Watson Wyatt, and management positions with Visa International, Pacific Telesis, and Sprint.

Marie speaks and writes on global compensation topics and is a key presenter of global compensation trends at Radford's regional conferences in Europe and Asia-Pacific. She earned a master of business administration and a bachelor of arts in psychology, from the University of California at Berkeley.


Jon Burg

Vice President

Jon Burg is vice president and West Coast Practice Leader of Radford Valuation Services, the equity valuation group of Radford. He has eleven years of pension consulting experience, including an emphasis on equity compensation in the last five years.

Jon has a track record of working with companies on the plan design, valuation, and financial management of their retirement and equity compensation programs. He leverages an extensive actuarial background in analyzing historical plan experience and performing complex valuations to apply an added rigor and discipline to the world of equity compensation. He collaborates directly with audit and compensation committees to develop sound equity compensation design, practices and procedures.

Prior to joining Radford, Jon served as a pension actuary for JPMorgan Compensation and Benefit Strategies and as National Practice Leader of their FAS 123(R) consulting practice.

Jon earned a bachelor of science in mathematics and economics from the University of Washington. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and an Enrolled Actuary. Jon speaks on a variety of equity compensation topics at industry events in addition to local and national NASPP meetings. He is based in San Francisco.

Brett Harsen

Vice President

Brett Harsen has more than 14 years of compensation consulting experience on a range of issues, including broad-based employee pay, short- and long-term incentive design, executive and Board of Directors compensation. He specializes in equity compensation design and delivery. Brett consults organizations in a variety of industries, with a focus on high technology and life sciences.

In addition to his consulting, Brett provides strategic guidance to Radford Surveys in the development of new analytic reports and the Pre-IPO/Venture-Backed products. Brett is also a leader in Radford's underwater option practice and co-creator of Radford's web portal www.UnderwaterExchange.com. He is an active contributor to Radford's Relative Total Shareholder Return (TSR) performance equity practice and the corresponding web portal www.RelativeTSR.com.

Prior to joining Radford, he held consulting positions at Buck Consulting, iQuantic and Deloitte.

Brett earned a bachelor of science from University of Illinois and holds designations from WorldatWork as a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), and the Society for HR Management as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). He is a frequent writer and speaker on equity and long-term incentive topics and has been cited by The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Financial Week, Agenda, The San Jose Mercury News, Corporate Board Member and others. He is based in San Jose.


David Knopping

Vice President

David Knopping has 10 years of compensation consulting experience on a variety of issues. Areas of focus include executive and broad-based compensation strategies, employment contract development, Board of Director pay, and short- and long-term incentive plan design. David's primary consulting projects cover various sectors of the high technology industry, including software products/services, semiconductors and Internet/e-commerce. He also has significant experience working with life sciences and pharmaceutical companies.

Prior to joining Radford, David held consulting positions at Buck Consultants, and was a financial associate for the Vanguard Group.

David earned a bachelor of arts in economics from University of Michigan and a master of business administration from University of California, Berkeley - Haas School of Business. He is a frequent speaker on executive and equity compensation topics. David is based in San Francisco.

Guy Pritchard

Vice President, EMEA

Guy Pritchard has more than 10 years of compensation consulting experience, including experience in the design of equity schemes, and other executive and senior management remuneration strategies. As Vice President at Radford, Guy has responsibility for leading client engagements with companies through the European region.

Prior to joining Radford, Guy was a Senior Consultant within Hewitt's UK Executive Compensation Practice, where he worked with management and remuneration committees on a broad array of executive compensation issues. His clients included both small private and large public organisations.

Before joining Hewitt, Guy was a manager in Deloitte's Executive Compensation Practice, where he focused on executive and senior management remuneration reviews and incentive scheme design for a number of UK-listed companies.

Guy received his Bachelor of Engineering degree (with honors) in Civil Engineering from the University of Warwick. He is a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT).


Colin J. Donnelly

Assistant Vice President

Colin Donnelly is an assistant vice president with Radford Valuation Services, the equity valuation group of Radford. He has more than twelve years of benefits and consulting experience.

Colin works directly with employee stock option (ESO) and Employee Stock Purchase Plan valuation clients in analyzing stock option data, performing statistical analysis, developing assumptions, and producing financial reporting information under Topic 718, and valuation and accounting for equity programs in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures under Topic 805. He has been integral in the development of the Aon Actuarial Binomial Model. Colin also works with clients in measuring the impact of plan design changes. Clients on which he has consulted include 3M, US Bancorp, UnitedHealth Group, and Wells Fargo.

Colin also has extensive experience as a defined benefit retirement plan analyst, performing benefit calculations for AmerisourceBergen and IKON Office Solutions. He has participated in numerous plan design studies and government testing of 401(k) and 403(b) plans.

Colin majored in mathematics at Drexel University and holds the Certified Equity Professional (CEP) designation. He is based in Philadelphia.

Melissa Grace

Assistant Vice President

Melissa Grace has more than 10 years of compensation experience, with a focus on the design, direction and implementation of compensation programs across worldwide high technology and life sciences organizations. She has developed long-term incentive strategies, executive compensation programs, base salary structures and administration guidelines, short-term variable incentive plans and Board of Director pay plans, as well as custom compensation surveys.

Prior to joining Radford, Melissa was director of compensation at Expedia, where she oversaw the compensation function for 4,000 worldwide employees. Before Expedia, she held consulting positions at iQuantic Buck (later acquired by Mellon Financial), Hewitt Associates and Watson Wyatt.

Melissa earned a bachelor of science in finance from University of Maryland, College Park. She is based in Fairfax, VA.


Ramanathan Kumar

Assistant Vice President

Ram Kumar has nearly 10 years of experience in the governance and compensation industry. He is primarily focused on helping companies evaluate and resolve compensation plan design issues in the context of emerging standards of corporate governance and the perspectives of investors and proxy advisors.

Prior to joining Radford, Ram was an assistant vice president in the executive compensation practice of Aon Hewitt. Prior to Aon, Ram worked in the corporate governance industry for more than six years, including four years at the prominent proxy advisory firm, Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS). While at ISS, he led the US research group charged with analyzing all public US companies and making proxy recommendations to institutional investors.

Ram earned a bachelor of arts from Johns Hopkins University. He is based in New York.

James Lecher

Assistant Vice President

Jim Lecher is an assistant vice president with more than 10 years of benefits and compensation consulting experience.

In his current role, Jim heads the stock option research and development team for Radford Valuation Services. He has developed many cutting-edge Monte Carlo simulation models used to value equity grants containing market conditions and enhance the accuracy of valuations of traditional stock option grants. Jim is also an adjunct professor at Arcadia University where he teaches classes on Derivatives Markets.

He is a member of the Society of Actuaries taskforce, which is currently analyzing the early exercise behavior of employees. Jim is a frequent speaker on compensation and valuation topics and has been published in WorldatWork.

Jim earned a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from Arcadia University and holds a Certified Equity Professional (CEP) designation. He is based in Philadelphia.


Jack McArthur

Assistant Vice President

Jack McArthur is an assistant vice president with Radford Valuation Services, the equity valuation group of Radford. He has more than twenty years of consulting experience, with an emphasis on equity compensation for the last five years.

Jack has consulted on a variety of employee benefits and compensation issues, including valuation and accounting under Topic 718 (formerly FAS 123(R)); valuation and accounting for equity programs in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures under Topic 805; sabbatical leaves under Topic 710 (formerly FAS 43); annual actuarial funding valuations under ERISA and Topic 715 (formerly FAS 87) accounting valuations; Supplemental Executive Retirement Plan design and valuation; and asset/liability studies. Additionally, he is responsible for the design and development of the internal computer systems and client facing online content. Prior to joining Radford Valuation Services, Jack was an associate at Coopers & Lybrand, now part of PricewaterhouseCoopers.

He is a member of the Society of Actuaries Stock Options Task Force and Investment Subcommittee. He is a frequent speaker on compensation and valuation topics and has been published in Compensation and Benefits Review.

Jack earned a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics from Manhattanville College. He is an associate in the Society of Actuaries. Jack also holds a Certified Equity Professional (CEP) designation. He is based in New Jersey.

Elizabeth Stoudt

Assistant Vice President

Liz Stoudt is an assistant vice president with Radford Valuation Services (RVS), the equity valuation group of Radford. She has more than eight years of benefits and compensation consulting experience.

Liz consults on a variety of employee benefits and compensation issues, including valuation and accounting for Employee Stock Option (ESO) plans, Employee Stock Purchase Plans (ESPP), and other equity-based compensation under Topic 718; valuation of compensatory arrangements for purposes of a change in control under IRC 280G; and valuation and accounting for equity programs in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures under Topic 805.

As director of operations for RVS, Liz is responsible for overseeing all project workflow for the consulting team. As a project leader, Liz is responsible for the completion of quarterly valuations and producing financial reporting information under Topic 718, in addition to being the primary client contact. Clients on which she consults include Staples, Prudential Financial, Wells Fargo Corporation, AmerisourceBergen, and Urban Outfitters.

Prior to joining Radford, Liz was employed as an actuarial analyst at Mercer Human Resource Consulting where she consulted on employee retirement benefit plans. Liz graduated from Pennsylvania State University where she obtained a bachelor of science degree in actuarial science. Liz has attained the Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) and the Certified Equity Professional (CEP) designations. Since becoming a CEP in 2007, Liz has volunteered on numerous test development activities for the CEPI. Liz is based in Radnor, PA.


Robert Surdel

Assistant Vice President

Robert Surdel has 10 years of compensation consulting experience on a broad range of human resources issues, including executive compensation, short- and long-term incentive design and sales effectiveness. In his current role, Rob consults with global organizations at various stages of development and maturity, with a focus on high technology and life sciences, as well as across general industry. Rob adds significant client value through his innovative quantitative analysis and extensive project management experience.

Prior to joining Radford, Rob held consulting positions at Pearl Meyer & Partners, Buck Consultants and iQuantic.

Rob earned a bachelor of arts in economics and environment sciences from Bowdoin College, graduating cum laude, and a Master of Business Administration from the Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. Rob holds the Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) designations. He is periodically published in Directorship and Workspan magazine. Rob is based in Boston.

Pang-Chen (Tony) Wang

Regional Manager, Greater China

Tony Wang has more than 12 years of compensation and human resources experience, with a background in both consulting and internal HR roles. As Regional Manager, focusing primarily in Greater China, Tony is responsible for providing compensation consulting and other support to organizations in the region.

Prior to joining Radford, Tony was Assistant Vice President of Compensation & Benefits at Nan Shan Life Insurance Company (a unit of AIG), where he had responsibility for compensation and benefits strategy design. Prior to Nan Shan Life, Tony was a Managing Consultant for IBM's Human Capital Management, Global Business Services Group. As a consultant, he worked with clients to create effective workforces and world-class HR processes that aligned HR and business strategy.

Before joining IBM, Tony was a Country Head in the Human Resources department of DHL, where, as a member of the leadership team, he was responsible for HR planning, policy development, training/development, organizational development and recruitment. He was also previously a Senior Consultant in Watson Wyatt's Taiwan office.

Tony earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Soochow University, and his Master of Business Administration degree from George Washington University. He is a certified Industrial Labor Safety and Health Administrator (ROC), and Professional in Human Resources (US). He also teaches courses for the Association of Industrial Relations (ROC) on total rewards philosophy and salary planning.


Ken Wechsler

Assistant Vice President

Ken Wechsler is the Southern California Market Leader for Radford, advising clients in the areas of executive and board compensation, incentive program and equity strategy design as well as broad-based compensation program design and implementation. Ken consults for organizations in a variety of industries, with a focus on technology and life sciences.

Throughout his 25-year career, Ken has assumed both consulting and corporate roles, having worked as the Head of Total Rewards for two Fortune 500 employers (Science Applications International Corp and Gateway Computers). Among many areas of responsibility, in those roles he led management's support of the Board and Compensation Committees. In addition, Ken has worked at three prominent HR consulting firms (Mercer, Watson Wyatt and Towers Perrin) and was a founder of Remedy Compensation Consulting.

Ken earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Claremont McKenna College with dual Bachelor Degrees in Economics and Mathematics. He is a frequent speaker on a variety of compensation and benefits topics. In addition, he holds designations from WorldatWork as a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), and the Society for HR Management as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). He's a member of World-at-Work’s national faculty, teaching their "Total Rewards" (T-1) and "Quantitative Methods" (T-3) courses. Ken is based in San Diego, Calif.
